Health Coaching Service to Help Type 2 Diabetics

Teem engaged with a global medical device manufacturer to launch a first-of-its kind health coaching service for Type 2 Diabetes. We optimized the product, created launch marketing materials, and developed a metrics system to measure success – resulting in a high growth product line for the corporation.

On-Demand Trucks Where You Need Them

Teem identified an opportunity to enable self service truck rental for a Fortune 500 transportation services company. We played matchmaker between the company and a promising startup, to negotiate and manage a pilot program, which led to a national rollout as a new on-demand truck rental service. We handled product strategy, startup qualification, launch marketing and investment due diligence to support the new service.

Mobile Application for Stress Reduction 

Teem partnered with a globally recognised expert in the anxious brain to create a first of its kind digital therapeutic product. Teem handled product development for the new mobile app, branding, market launch and acquisition funnel metrics. The launched product is achieving strong consumer metrics and establishing key partnerships to support its growth.

Location-Targeted Content Experience 

Teem worked with a Fortune 500 Corporate business travel company and a major US city to promote local points of interest and enhance the visitor experience. We created a new mobile app feature by integrating third-party technology and implementing a new opt-in strategy, created location-based content and managed rollout of the pilot program. The pilot received overwhelmingly positive consumer response and industry acclaim, including a national award for smart city innovation for both the city and the corporation.

Teem Ventures’ Founder and Managing Partner, Raj Amin, recently appeared on This is Project Management; a podcast produced by leading research and experimentation firm AlphaHQ and hosted by Mike Fishbein. Raj discusses lessons learned from his extensive career launching new products and ventures in multiple industries including digital TV, transportation, healthcare and online media. He talks of his time founding HealthiNation, co-creating products with Avis Budget Group and developing a new digital mental health app Personal Zen all while sharing the lessons he has learnt throughout. 

Over my career I have been lucky to have had some amazing mentors who have invested in my development. In an effort to pay it forward, I’ve done my best to make time for mentorship with many employees and first time startup CEO’s whenever I can. This idea of paying it forward should be central to an entrepreneur’s ethos, and it usually is, which means for entrepreneurs there should be a lot of potential mentors in your community. 

As an agile trained Product Manager working with large corporations on emerging technology programs, I have certainly run into challenges.  That’s to be expected, and jumping into a new organization isn’t easy, especially when existing culture has been trained to avoid taking too much risk
